Tyeis Baker-BaummanTyeis L. Baker-Baumann, President

Tyeis (Ty) Baker-Baumann, President, is the second generation owner and operator of Rebsco, Inc.

“I have distinct memories, especially of the early days of the company.  There was an office complete with drafting table in a portion of our family room.  I was carefully taught how to answer our home phone in a professional manner in case a customer would call, was a part of dinner table conversations about the business and the finances.  And Sunday drives frequently became job site visits so my dad could be more prepared for the upcoming work week.”

Ty’s career did not begin at Rebsco, Inc. until 1996. “In  the late fall of 1995, my dad (Dick Baker) approached me and asked if I had an interest in returning to Darke County and becoming a part of Rebsco, Inc.   I joined the company in June of 1996, taking the reins as President upon his retirement in 1997.”

“There are many challenges and rewards to owning your own business.  Every day can be different.  And as a small business owner, you wear multiple hats:  HR, Operations, Accounting, Customer Service……..

But it is very gratifying to work with our customers.  The industries we serve are vital aspects of our country’s infrastructure. The health and productivity of these markets contribute heavily to the vitality of the national and global economy.  It is not difficult to see how what we do for a customer has a positive impact on not only that company and its employees, but for the economy as a whole.”

As a forward thinking company, Rebsco, Inc. has made the changes necessary to keep up with the present day and futures needs of business.  However, some things have remained the same.

“Our commitment to providing thoughtful consultation, solid design, and quality workmanship at a fair price has not wavered.  Everyone on our team understands our success and prosperity is a direct result of how we do our jobs every  day.”

A commitment to community service and to active participation in the professional organizations representing business and industry is yet another way Baker-Baumann  sustains the core values of Rebsco, Inc.

Ty and husband Bill live in Greenville, Ohio.  They have one daughter, Jessica.  In their free time, Ty and Bill like boat and travel.  Ty also enjoys her work as a part time yoga instructor.
